Ben's Weather Summary
- Updated: Wednesday, Oct 08 @ 08:54pm
We've enjoyed nice weather this week with above normal temperatures and dry conditions, that will change through the end of the week as low pressure off the California coast draws tropical moisture (remnants of Priscilla) north into our area. Expect increasing clouds through Thursday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon. A little cooler with highs in the 60s, south-southwest winds 10-20 mph, gusty near any storms. As moisture continues to stream northward, a chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms will persist Thursday night into Friday, with the deepest moisture and heaviest rain expected off to our east. Highs will remain in the 60s with lows in the 40s. Moisture will decrease on Saturday, though an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out, clearing by Sunday. Troughing along the West Coast next week may lead to some cool, windy, and unsettled weather, even an outside chance for our first dusting of snow for the season. Forecast models currently bring a cold low south into Central & Northern California around the middle of the week, close enough for some showers across our area. The best chance looks to be later Tuesday into Wednesday, but details need to be ironed out on timing and intensity. If nothing else, expect gusty west winds and much cooler fall temperatures as daytime highs drop into the 50s, possibly even the upper 40s by Wednesday or Thursday, as overnight lows dip into the 20s and 30s.
